Las Olas Marina
The City of Fort Lauderdale, known as the Yachting Capital of the World, issued an RFP for the Expansion and Enhancement of Las Olas Marina. In partnership with Suntex Marinas, Edgewater led the design and engineering of the redeveloped marina, which will become one of Suntex Marinas’ newest locations in its growing national portfolio.
The $25 million redevelopment enhances the waterfront to serve local residents, meet world-class standards for mega yachts, support the goals of the Central Beach Master Plan, and provide expanded accommodations for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Innovative sustainable design features have been incorporated to help the City achieve objectives outlined in its Sustainability Action Plan. Las Olas Marina was designed for both small vessels and mega yachts, the project expanded dockage from 3,430 linear feet to 5,540 linear feet, and construction concluded in October 2022.
